Suggestions for Lunch:

The best places for lunch are on Craig Street between Forbes and Fifth Avenue. The restaurants near the Wyndham Hotel are mostly fast food or intended for students. However, Panera (on Forbes) is a decent chain and India Garden (on Atwood) has a good buffet.

Ali Baba's, 404 S. Craig Street

Decent Middle Eastern food. Inexpensive.

Carnegie Cafe, Forbes Avenue

Cafeteria in the entrance to the Carnegie Museum of Art. Very nice surroundings.

Lucca, 317 S. Craig Street

Italian food. Great outdoor porch, if weather permits. Moderately expensive.

Oakland Original, Forbes and S. Bouquet

Known to students as the "Dirty O". This is the place for greasy french fries, hot dogs and hoagies. A Pittsburgh Experience.

Union Grill, 413 S. Craig Street

Mostly grill stuff. Moderate.

Also, a new crepe restaurant opened recently on Craig Street near Fifth Avenue.
