New Faculty Welcome: Tingting Zhang

The Department of Statistics is excited to welcome several new faculty members in the fall of 2020. Each week as we approach the start of the semester, we'll introduce one of them with a little bit of background about their interests. First up is:

Dr. Tingting Zhang

Tingting Zhang's research lies mainly in the multidisciplinary field of human brain mapping. She has developed new statistical models and computational algorithms for analyzing brain data in different modalities. Her research areas in statistics include Bayesian inference, network analysis, and high-dimensional data. Her current primary scientific interest concerns understanding normal and abnormal brain network mechanisms. She enjoys collaborating with psychologists, neurologists, and neuroscientists and using statistical methods to advance scientific understanding of the human brain and to improve the treatment of neurological disorders.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Zhang to the department!
